It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Vic L. Lillo – a loving husband, dad, boppa, family member, and friend. A true legend in the music industry, Vic had great faith and his joy of life and music was contagious. Hey! Hey! Hey! For Sure! For Sure! Give the world a spin! We will miss him more than any words can possibly say.

Vic leaves to mourn his beloved wife Doreen; children Corinne, Victor D. (Kim), Lester, and Danielle; grandchildren Harrison Medley, Monica Lillo, Austin Medley, Evelyn Lillo, Regan Medley, Andreas Lillo; loving border collie Daisy; brother Milton Lillo, brother-in-law Garry Lindstrom (Trudy) and many friends and relatives.

The funeral service was live-streamed at Mt. Zion Lutheran Church (11533-135 Street NW, Edmonton) at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 21, 2023.

Memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Mt. Zion Lutheran Church. Weber Funeral Home Tofield 780-662-3959.

The 60th ‘Diamond’ Anniversary of Lillo’s Music!  I created this graphic design in tribute to generations of Lillo family members who devoted much of their lives to the music industry, to hundreds of people who chose a career in music through Lillo’s Music and its subsidiaries, to thousands of music school students, to hundreds of thousands of retail customers and friends. The Lillo family name has become synonymous with music in Canada and abroad thanks to the support from the music community over the past six decades. The multiple retail locations and other music ventures have mostly come and gone, with the original store in Edmonton, Canada finally closing its storefront on December 31, 2019. Today, Lillo’s Music retails products online and offers virtual and in-person music instruction, instrument repair, and a by-appointment-only store.
